Under the project “Voices for Gender Equality”  supported by the European Union and DanChurchAid, CCIM launched the short video contest with the theme “Gender Equality for Next Generation”. The contest aims to empower and promote gender equality for the next generation by encouraging the participation of youth aged 18 to 35 years old.

The competition is part of the advocacy action to fight against the stereotype of society for a great change in the next generation. Joining the Women’s Rights Day 2020, CCIM nationally announced the contest for  a period of one month and a half for the submission of entries.

A total of 22 videos from both group and individual applicants were received. Going through the shortlisting process with the group of committees, the top 10 video entries were shortlisted and posted on social media (particularly, Facebook pages of CCIM and Voices for Equality project) to generate votes from social media users. In the earlier of June, as the deadline for online voting , CCIM finally selected the top 3 winners of the contest with ratings calculated from online votes (30%) and scoring from the group of committees (70%).
