The same activity, same topic, and same province but in different areas of the province located in Sala Sangkat Chamrouen Phal, Phnum Ourka, Sangkat Chamrouen Phal, Krong Pursat, CCIM conducted the community debate on November 21, 2019 and participated by 53 participants including 30 women ranging from 24 to 60 years old.
Similarly, the local authorities of Sangkat Chamrouen Phal told CCIM to provide more similar activities to their community since both high-profile persons and the community representatives need a lot of support regarding their professional career. The group of our debaters were selected from community representatives. They told CCIM that before the training, they thought “alcohol” is the root cause of domestic violence which the perpetrator used as the excuse to commit violence inside their family. Yet, after joining in the half day training and experiencing from the debate, they earned more confidence to speak up in front of audience and able to defend against the statement “Alcohol is the reason of domestic violence”.
