CCIM organized the media literacy forum for the youth at the Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC) attended by 51 students and visitors, 26 of them are women. The forum focused on the topic “Disinformation (fake news) and verification” with Mr. Tjorsten karg, Deutsche Wella Akademie Project Manager/Trainer as the resource person.
The activity aims to promote media literacy among the youth in Cambodia, especially the students in the universities, both public and private, for them to be able to access true information and identify fake news, disinformation, and hate speech in the online and social media.
The forum was organized as part of the activities of the project “Digital and Psychosocial Protection” supported by DanChurchAid, Bread for the World, and Open Society Foundation. More media literacy forum are planned to be held in the provinces.
